Our Story.

The Purple Hills Centre is a private foundation that operates a cross-Canada cannabis packaging waste collection and zero-waste-to-landfill up-cycling initiative. The organization advances circular economy principles by extending the life of materials, minimizing environmental impact, and supporting responsible production and consumption across the value chain.

We operate the World’s Largest Cannabis Packaging Waste Recycling Program.

We are proud to be the 2025/2026 recipients of the OCS Social Impact Fund in support of our project, From Waste to Resource: Building Ontario's Cannabis Packaging Circular Economy, which aims to lay the foundation for long-term environmental sustainability through innovative, community-driven solutions to packaging waste.
